Matthias Hohner, founder of Hohner & Co. started making harmonicas in 1857 with just his wife and a single employee. During the Civil War, he gave harmonicas to fighting soldiers. This economical 10-hole hoarmoica has a plastic body and is a diatonic, single key instrument for beginner level players in the rhythm & blues style. Everyone from Bob Dylan to Johnny Cash trusted and played a Hohner. We've yet to go play in prisons like Johnny did but our little Mississippi number is giving our campfire a little more soul.
